New Orleans

I’ve never had such conflicting feelings about a trip or city before, and I promise it had nothing to do with the fact that the weekend we were there happened to be one of their coldest all year.  Ill admit it did make me a bit cranky on the coldest of days, “Hair Jam” day, because I had never been in such bone chilling cold before (apparently the humidity makes the cold feel much worse…) but that had nothing to do with my conflicting feelings.  Anyway, I honestly had so […] Read more…

New York, New York

Boy have we been traveling a lot this fall!  We were home from our trip to Ireland and London only one week before we were back on a plane to New York.  Neither I nor Andrew had ever been to New York before and I was so excited because I’ve always wanted to go.  Andrew was asked to speak on a panel at an event about social media in the hair industry called Idealogue that was put on by LBP and American salon.  It was a two day event that […] Read more…

Those London Friends of ours

About 2 1/2 years ago Andrew told me a friend from London (whom he had only met on Instagram) was coming to the states and wanted to see if it was cool to let him and his girlfriend stay with us for a few days. Normally Andrew tends to lean a bit towards the “Stranger Danger” side of things so the fact that he was cool with them staying in our home, having never met in person before, told me there must be something special about these two. There was. From the […] Read more…

London Baby!

If Andrew and I were F*R*I*E*N*D*S on their trip to London I would be Joey and Andrew would be Chandler.  Ok so Andrew wasn’t nearly as cranky as Chandler was, but he definitely doesn’t love crowds especially when he’s in foreign surroundings. Me on the other hand, it doesn’t bother me one bit. Exploring London was beyond what I could have expected. Everywhere I turned, every few feet I walked was something new and magnificent to look at. I mean, as small as those red phone booths and the cute […] Read more…

Barber Cut Dublin

The reason for our trip. The wonderful event that finally got us to make the leap and cross the pond. Barber Cut Dublin. Let me just start by saying this; yes, I know that Andrew has a large following on Instagram, 133,000+ followers is no small amount. Yes, I know that Andrew gets recognized by people all the time, but that’s usually near home. And yes, I know that Andrew’s hair product, ADH, is sold in other countries including Ireland. These are things I know and I am always proud […] Read more…

Castles? We’ve Got Castles!

It’s one of those things you just don’t realize is so special because its always been there. I know with me sometimes I forget how lucky I am to live only 20 min from Disneyland and to be able to go nearly every week. That’s how it seems to be with the Irish and their castles. Andrew and I were constantly in awh of all the castles in Ireland. Some fully functioning, some in ruins but all jaw dropping and gorgeous. One of our friends in Ireland was laughing at […] Read more…

Cliffs Of Moher

If ever there was a place to be described as breathtaking, the Cliffs of Moher is it. This was one of the only things that was a “must see” on my Ireland to do list. We’d been staying in Dublin so we rented a car (I did the driving! I killed it at driving on the wrong side of the road!) and drove 3 hours across the island to see the cliffs. That day had been particularly rainy and the closer we got the worse the weather got. Once we […] Read more…

Ireland, We Made It!

I’ve wanted to travel to Europe for so long but I never thought it would ever really happen. So when the opportunity to go to Ireland came up I was more then eager to jump on it!  But still all through the planning and booking process I had a really hard time believing it was real. And then it finally arrived and for the entire day before we left my stomach was doing flips. I was so nervous and excited all at once. There were so many unknowns that I just didn’t […] Read more…

Black Tie Evening

Andrew and I go to a lot of weddings and I love every one of them, but it’s not often that these weddings are “Black Tie” events. Oh boy was I excited when we got our invitation for this wedding! I could not wait to go get a floor length gown and get all dolled up. (Just for a little insight into my love of formals, I threw a Prom for my 25th birthday because as an adult there are just not enough reasons to wear a gown. It was […] Read more…

Off The Grid

My In-Laws have a second home out in the middle of nowhere. Its nothing extravagant but it has just enough of all the right ingredients for a fun weekend away. There’s no Wi-Fi and the cell service is pretty spotty but they’ve got a golf cart, a quad, a pond and a few acres of land to play in.  It’s the perfect inspiration for to everyone to put their phones away and spend the entire day outside. This particular weekend Andrew and I packed up and headed out with his sister Danielle and […] Read more…
