Big Bear

We had such a great time in Big Bear with two of our best friends David and Chloe and their sweet baby girl Coraline. Their parents had recently bought a cabin and they wanted us to go up with them for a weekend. Andrew and I were, of course more then happy to do so. Now, before we got there they kept calling this place a cabin, but when I think of a cabin I think of a small 2 or 3 bedroom little place… Um, this “cabin” is a […] Read more…

A San Francisco Date

Over the past year Andrew had been up to San Francisco multiple times to work in salons and teach classes, and every time I wanted to go but it just never worked out. I had never been to San Fran before. So as a surprise Andrew bought us tickets to fly up for the day! We had so much fun!  First thing in the morning we headed to the airport and after a quick 45min flight we were ready to paint the town red! We had no desire to waste […] Read more…

Our First Time

Although Andrew and I are both hairdressers we’ve taken very different directions in our careers. We both started out across the board doing all types of hair, men’s, women’s, color, cut, styling ect. But it wasn’t long before we both narrowed down our fields to what we excelled at most, and funnily enough they were complete opposites. The nice thing about it has always been that if I get a request for something I don’t do, I send that client to Andrew. And when Andrew gets a request for something […] Read more…

But for Andrew and I it has become the place where we go when we need to stop, reset and recharge. I’d been to the islands multiple times before with my family, but never to Maui. Our honeymoon was my first trip to Maui and Andrew’s first trip to the islands altogether. That in itself gave it a […] Read more…

It Started With Highlights

Six years ago Chelsea sat in my chair for a highlight touch up when her regular hairdresser was out on maternity leave. We immediately hit it off and after that first appointment she never went back to her previous girl. Over the years those simple hair appointments allowed us to spend hours talking about anything and everything, which grew into a real friendship. Fast forward to her wedding day, one of the most important days in her life, and we find that what started as a simple hair appointment led […] Read more…

A Hip Downtown Wedding

Nick and Anna are two of our closest friends and the hippest kids I know. And when I say that, I am not exaggerating. Every thing they do is 100%, they don’t cut corners and they don’t do anything halfway, not to mention they’re both incredibly creative and have amazing style. There were so many details to their wedding that made it distinctly theirs, for example instead of bouquets the bridesmaids carried gold sequin clutches, instead of cake they had ice cream that was mixed and frozen right in front of […] Read more…
