Castle Leslie Estate

Castle Leslie was magical! I know that sounds cheesy but I don’t care. It was so magical from the moment we got there until the moment we left.  It felt like we were in the Enchanted Forest and I 100% would not have been surprised if Snow White came walking out from behind one of the trees looking for Prince Charming.  Again, I know that sounds cheesy but it’s not an exaggeration.  We loved staying here! Not only was it so beautiful but the staff was amazing, the food was […] Read more…

Titanic, Belfast

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always been fascinated by the Titanic.  I remember doing reports on it and looking up every book I could find about it.  And then of course when the movie came out, ugh,  I loved it! It’s just always been so fascinating to me to see pictures of everything on the ocean floor, to hear the stories about how huge the ship was and trying to imagine what it would have been like to see it or be near it in person.  For […] Read more…

So Good To Be Back in Ireland

I can’t tell you how good it felt to be back in Ireland! Andrew and I were so blessed to have been able to visit in October but to be able to visit again only 7 1/2 months later, all I can say is God is good! After our last trip Andrew was speaking with Sam, (the guy who created BarberCutDublin which Andrew spoke at in October, the reason for our first visit) and after such a great response at BarberCut Sam asked Andrew to come back and teach a […] Read more…

my Tahoe winter dream

Tahoe.  Wow.  I had no idea how much I would love this place.  Growing up I always loved the heat, the summer, the sun and the beach.  I always stayed away from the snow because it was cold and uncomfortable but as I’ve gotten older I’m coming to find that I’m enjoying cold weather more and more.  I had never been in active snowfall before; It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.  It was so peaceful and quiet you couldn’t hear a sound you just saw […] Read more…

virginia city

My cousin had asked if Andrew and I would like to join her and her husband Josh on a trip to Tahoe.  They had to go to Reno for a work conference and figured they would extend the trip and drive an hour up the mountain to Lake Tahoe.  We thought, what the heck? We’d never been there before so why not?! The day we got to Reno Britney and Josh were both busy in meetings so we grabbed an Uber and headed up to Virginia City.  We’d heard a […] Read more…

New Orleans

I’ve never had such conflicting feelings about a trip or city before, and I promise it had nothing to do with the fact that the weekend we were there happened to be one of their coldest all year.  Ill admit it did make me a bit cranky on the coldest of days, “Hair Jam” day, because I had never been in such bone chilling cold before (apparently the humidity makes the cold feel much worse…) but that had nothing to do with my conflicting feelings.  Anyway, I honestly had so […] Read more…

New York, New York

Boy have we been traveling a lot this fall!  We were home from our trip to Ireland and London only one week before we were back on a plane to New York.  Neither I nor Andrew had ever been to New York before and I was so excited because I’ve always wanted to go.  Andrew was asked to speak on a panel at an event about social media in the hair industry called Idealogue that was put on by LBP and American salon.  It was a two day event that […] Read more…

Those London Friends of ours

About 2 1/2 years ago Andrew told me a friend from London (whom he had only met on Instagram) was coming to the states and wanted to see if it was cool to let him and his girlfriend stay with us for a few days. Normally Andrew tends to lean a bit towards the “Stranger Danger” side of things so the fact that he was cool with them staying in our home, having never met in person before, told me there must be something special about these two. There was. From the […] Read more…

London Baby!

If Andrew and I were F*R*I*E*N*D*S on their trip to London I would be Joey and Andrew would be Chandler.  Ok so Andrew wasn’t nearly as cranky as Chandler was, but he definitely doesn’t love crowds especially when he’s in foreign surroundings. Me on the other hand, it doesn’t bother me one bit. Exploring London was beyond what I could have expected. Everywhere I turned, every few feet I walked was something new and magnificent to look at. I mean, as small as those red phone booths and the cute […] Read more…

Barber Cut Dublin

The reason for our trip. The wonderful event that finally got us to make the leap and cross the pond. Barber Cut Dublin. Let me just start by saying this; yes, I know that Andrew has a large following on Instagram, 133,000+ followers is no small amount. Yes, I know that Andrew gets recognized by people all the time, but that’s usually near home. And yes, I know that Andrew’s hair product, ADH, is sold in other countries including Ireland. These are things I know and I am always proud […] Read more…
