Boy have we been traveling a lot this fall! We were home from our trip to Ireland and London only one week before we were back on a plane to New York. Neither I nor Andrew had ever been to New York before and I was so excited because I’ve always wanted to go.
Andrew was asked to speak on a panel at an event about social media in the hair industry called Idealogue that was put on by LBP and American salon. It was a two day event that took place in a rad loft in Chelsea, Manhattan and was filled with tons of great speakers. It was actually really great to meet a lot of the people I only knew through Instagram and an opportunity to spend more time with others that I’d already known but rarely get to see because we live in different parts of the country. It sort of felt like a super fancy grown up version of camp.
After the two day event we had one free day to explore the city. It was a fantastic day of adventure! Jenny Streebe (@theconfessionsofahairstylist) ended up needing a model for a class she was teaching while in the city and I was happy to do it for her. A ton of us from the Idealogue event ended up crashing her class and then exploring the city together. It was so much fun! We had no plans we just went with the flow. It felt like we were teenagers again!
