Waterfalls and Planes

I must say that our second day in Iceland was a pretty good one.  We woke up early and set out to hike down Solheimasandur beach to see the old abandoned DC-3 plane that crashed there in 1973. It took us just over an hour to walk all the way from the parking area to the actual plane which felt like an hour of walking through Mars. The ground was black sand and rock and there was nothing in the horizon as far as we could see, which had become […] Read more…

Iceland? Sure we’ll go!

People kept asking us why we were going to Iceland and we would joke that it was just a pit stop on the way to Ireland. Like, “oh yeah we’re just these big time travelers so we’re going to swing by Iceland real quick to check it out. No big deal.” Haha! I’m so sure.  The truth is it was all about the airfare.  We had heard about this Icelandic airline, Wow Airlines, that has really good deals on airfare to European countries.  The only catch is that every flight […] Read more…

A Carnival Themed 1st bday for my Niece

What’s more of a bummer then you’re oldest brother moving to Montana and you not being able to see him like you want to? Him meeting a lovely lady and having his 2 youngest babies in Montana and not being able to see them!! It had been 4 years since he moved up there and unfortunately neither of us were able to visit each other during that time. So when he was finally able to come down a few weeks ago I couldn’t wait to see him and finally meet […] Read more…

Disneyland with the Cullens

When your friends from Ireland just can’t get enough of you they follow you home to California. 😉 And where do you think Andrew and I had to take them?? Disneyland of course! Ryan and Kerri had never been before , which is so crazy to me, so we wanted to help them get the most out of their one day at Disney.  Andrew and I go multiple time a month and never early in the morning, but for these two we were not going to waist time.  We got […] Read more…

Hanh’s Sweet San Diego Escape

It was such a pleasure to work with Hanh on her wedding day.  She was absolutely one of the sweetest brides around which made it no surprise to find that her entire wedding party and wedding guests traveled across the country to be part of her big day.  Hanh is from the east coast but dreamed of a sunny California wedding and that’s exactly what she got.  The weather was picture perfect and so was she.  It was such a beautiful morning to share with such a sweet group of […] Read more…

Dunluce Castle

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Andrew and I love the Castles in Ireland. We just don’t see that kind of thing where we live in Southern California.  We had heard about Dunluce castle before because the history is quite interesting but we didn’t realize we were so close to it until we saw it in the “things to do” suggestions in our hotel room.  When we realized we were only 15 min away we thought well dang, we’ve got to go see it! So here’s this […] Read more…

Just because its beautiful

There’s nothing extraordinary about this post or these pictures except the fact that it’s a perfect example of just how beautiful Ireland is.  We were driving down the road and we saw this beautiful overgrown cottage.  It was just gorgeous so of course we pulled over for pictures.  Later that day we ended up at the beach along the northern coast and again it was oh so beautiful.  We have loads of beaches in California but they don’t look like this.  The water was nestled right up to a grassy […] Read more…

Our Favorite Irish Boys

In May of 2016 we met Ryan and Conor, two Irish boys visiting the states. Andrew Ryan and Conor had all three been following each other on Instagram but after an all night hang out at our friends loft in LA we were all friends. Andrew and I had already booked our first trip to Ireland so we made plans to meet up with them when we got there.  It was really nice to have two familiar faces waiting for us on our first time outside of the United States. […] Read more…

Castle Leslie Estate

Castle Leslie was magical! I know that sounds cheesy but I don’t care. It was so magical from the moment we got there until the moment we left.  It felt like we were in the Enchanted Forest and I 100% would not have been surprised if Snow White came walking out from behind one of the trees looking for Prince Charming.  Again, I know that sounds cheesy but it’s not an exaggeration.  We loved staying here! Not only was it so beautiful but the staff was amazing, the food was […] Read more…

Titanic, Belfast

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always been fascinated by the Titanic.  I remember doing reports on it and looking up every book I could find about it.  And then of course when the movie came out, ugh,  I loved it! It’s just always been so fascinating to me to see pictures of everything on the ocean floor, to hear the stories about how huge the ship was and trying to imagine what it would have been like to see it or be near it in person.  For […] Read more…
